Are You Sure About Eternity?
Recognize that you are a sinner.
What is sin? Sin is anything we think, say, or do that breaks God’s law.
In God’s law we find the “Ten Commandments.” Included in these commandments are commands not to lie, or steal. If you were tried for the crime of lying or stealing, could you be found guilty on any occasion? The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Every person is guilty of sin; no one is exempt from it.

Realize that sin has a price that must be paid.
Romans 6:23 states, “For the wages of sin is death.” The “wage” or payment for our sin is spiritual death, and eternal separation from God.
Realize that Christ came to pay the price for you.
Romans 5:8 states that “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Even while we were sinners, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place. John 3:16 explains, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loves us and has offered eternal life to whoever is willing to accept His free gift.

Accept the free gift of salvation.
Just as you would receive any other gift, you can receive the gift of salvation. Romans 10:9 explains, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” If you believe what the Bible says about Jesus Christ dying to pay for your sins, and that he rose again; then pray today and ask God to forgive you of your sin and receive him as your Savior.
