Our Purpose
“The Forge” youth group at First Baptist Church exists to shape, strengthen, and forge the next generation of believers for Christ.
Like metal refined in fire, our desire is to see teenagers grounded in biblical truth, growing in spiritual maturity, and discovering how God has uniquely gifted them to serve Him and others.
Guided by our theme verse—“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Peter 4:10) — The Forge challenges students to steward their gifts faithfully and live lives that honor the Lord.
Through weekly gatherings, biblical teaching, fellowship, worship, outreach, camps, and many other opportunities, teens are encouraged to pursue Christ wholeheartedly and be forged into young men and women ready to stand strong for Him.”
About our Youth Pastor
Pastor Ryan Borner has worked with youth for many years. His kindness and a sincere love toward young people along with a passion to reach and help people for the Lord is evident in how he serves His Saviour. He has many years of teaching experience in the Christian school. He has served as a Sunday school teacher and has been involved in mentoring, counseling, and coaching. He and his wife, Amanda, have five children.
